Mango Sorbet (Mango Ice)Course: Dessert
In December the abundance of sweet mangoes allowed me to freeze of this delicious flesh. Because I knew when it comes to January I’m going to make some mango sorbet…or as I like to call it…Mango Ice…so refreshing
4 cups of frozen mango pieces
1/4 cup of condensed milk
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
- In a food processor mix all ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
- Spoon into a container with a lid and freeze overnight.
- Serve in a bowl or on a cone. Absolutely delicious and so refreshing.
- Tip – to replace the condensed milk, make a simple sugar syrup by dissolving 3/4 cup of sugar with 3/4 cup of hot water in a saucepan on low heat. Once all the sugar has dissolved remove from the heat and allow to cool completely. Add the syrup to the food processor whith the mango pieces.
