Malva Pudding
Course: DessertIngredients
1 large egg
1 cup of caster sugar
1 cup of cake flour
Β½ tsp of baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tbsp. of fine apricot jam
1 tbsp. of vinegar
1 cup of milk
2 tbsp. butter
- Sauce
1 cup of milk
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp of butter
2 tsp vanilla essence
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar and egg together.
- Next add the rest of the ingredients and mix until well combined. Pour into a greased ovenproof dish. Bake in a preheated oven on 180Β°C for 35 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat all the sauce ingredients together stirring until nice and hot. Remove from the heat and pour the sauce over the hot pudding.
- Serve with delicious custard or cream.
Notes
- To make a bigger size pudding, simply double all ingredients.
